Yoga at your office

Taking an hour during lunch to practice yoga at the office is not unheard of in today’s corporate world. It is well known that yoga can improve one’s ability to concentrate and elevate one’s mood. Stress management through yoga and meditation can prevent many of the diseases associated with stress that commonly affect today’s workers. Therefore, employees who practice yoga are less likely to miss work due to sickness. For Yoga in the workplace, I will design a class that welcomes different levels of ability and that takes into account the muscle groups affected by long hours sitting in front a computer or speaking on a phone. Employees will return to work feeling ready to take on any challenge or task with calmness and clarity!

The class will be designed to suit the ability of the participants. Doing yoga in a small group is a great way to enjoy some personal attention for your yoga practice and recieve lots of hands on adjustments. We will account for any physical limitations as well as work toward your personal goals.

What to expect

The yoga class will include instruction on how to do the poses, deep breathing, strengthening and stretching the muscles, increasing flexibility in the spine and joints and improving circulation. Participants should wear loose comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat.  All that is required is a space large enough where everyone would have a little room to move.

You don’t have to be young, fit or flexible to do yoga. You start from where your body is at in this moment. Each person works within their own comfort level and ability and will come away enjoying the benefits of their practice. There are modifications for every pose to accommodate all levels.
